Description
Quetzalcóatl, a mythical creature half serpent, half bird, occupied a divine place among the naguales, or spirit animals of Mesoamerica.
Nagualismo, the belief in spirit animals, is based in a worldview that celebrates the connections between humans and nature. Somewhat like in astrology, the belief holds that all people are born under the protection of a nagual which will assist them in reaching their purpose in life.
